It may cost more to live in the US, these days, but the power of the US dollar is now allowing for the emergence of what some are calling the inflation vacation.
There are a number of countries where the US dollar is king, and where favorable exchange rates means a more affordable trip.
Eastern Europe, South America and parts of Asia are now buyer’s markets for American travelers — including Japan, South Korea, Hungary and Argentina.
And some smart travelers are heading to countries like Argentina not just to vacation, but to do some of their advanced Christmas shopping as well, where the US dollar has risen a whopping 330% in the past year alone.
