It may seem hard to believe, but the World Economic Forum just named the world’s best country for travel and tourism for 2024 — it’s the United States!

It seems a surprise ranking, but how did the World Economic Forum come to this conclusion? The ranking isn’t just based on infrastructure, natural resources or sustainability, but competitive pricing and the actual business of tourism.

Spain leads in Europe, getting bonus points for train connectivity.

Not surprisingly, France scored high. It always does, especially this Olympics year.

Third place, after Spain, is Japan, with more than 3 million tourists each month this year.
