Happiest Countries 2024: A New Ranking

It’s that time of year, and the annual world happiness report is out, with rankings of the happiest countries in the world, with 140 countries surveyed based on their average life evaluations.

Participants were asked to score their life as a whole, things like GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and perceptions of corruption were a part of it.

Winning again for the seventh year in a row is Finland, followed by Denmark, Iceland and Sweden.

And the US, for the first time since the report was first published 12 years ago, dropped out of the top 20.

Afghanistan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Congo and Palestine ranked at the bottom of the list.
