The Essentials

Best Cabin Location on Cruise Ships

What’s the best cabin on a cruise ship? Most folks might tell you an upper balcony, with a great view.

For my money, the best cabin on a cruise ship is an inside middle cabin. Why? It’s all about center of gravity, not to mention common sense.

The higher you go on a cruise ship (and some have 20 decks) the more you will pitch and roll. Not pleasant. And you’ll spend more money. The reality is most cruise ship passengers spend time in their cabins only to shower and sleep.

An inside middle cabin is not only dramatically less expensive, but also the center of gravity works in your favor. It’s a much calmer, smoother ride.

And if you miss looking at the ocean, there’s a simple solution: just leave your cabin and walk about 80 feet.
