If you’re booking your airline tickets online, be very careful about what’s displayed about the tickets.

If you don’t cancel and ask for a refund within 24 hours of booking, you may only get a flight credit and not money back.

And if you think you don’t have to cancel at all because you bought a first class ticket — if that ticket is designated as non-refundable — then you’re classified as a no-show and the airline will then claim you lost your money.

Before hitting any keystroke online, unless you’re absolutely sure you will keep that reservation, protect your rights and double check that you are buying a truly — and fully — refundable ticket.
