The most moves were from Americans leaving Illinois, followed by New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
And where were Americans moving to? Some surprise destinations include Nebraska, Louisiana, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Iowa.
And for those Americans moving to retire, they were heading to Montana, Missouri, Michigan and Minnesota.
