The Essentials

Angriest Airports

A new analysis of over 37,000 tweets between March of 2022 and March of 2023 has revealed the airports with the most amount of “angry” tweets from travelers.

The “angriest” airport — meaning the airport passengers who complained about it the most — wasn’t Atlanta, the busiest airport in the world, or New York’s LaGuardia.

Instead, the angry tweets focused on John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, with over two-thirds of all tweets containing words considered to be “angry” such as “complaints”, “delayed”, and “noise”.

The second “angriest” airport is Jacksonville, Florida.

And the two least “angry” airports were Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport.
