It is a land forged on the wild frontier between the old and new world, built upon a destiny of freedom and self-determination. Sitting on the most western edge of Europe, its miracle green valleys are bordered by soaring coastal cliff sides. It’s a small island but with a large influence, thanks to millions of immigrants who brought their traditions with them across the globe. And while the culture might feel familiar, if you dig past the surface, there’s a brave new and old world, an emerald isle to scholars, saints, poets, and politicians — stories and those who sing them, two countries on one island intertwined in history, mythology and hope. This is what I came for, a rich land where every step reveals a new surprise — often hiding in plain sight. This is Hidden Ireland.
