Depending on who is counting, there are nearly 30,000 castles in Ireland. One of them — perhaps the most intact castle of them all, is Trim Castle. David Gilroy grew up around the castle, and thanks to him I got a bird’s eye view of it — and heard its stories and legends, in “Hidden Ireland,” premiering on PBS on March 17th.
