According to the latest data from Expedia, and it doesn’t come as much of a surprise, many trips booked at this time of the year are beach getaways. 

And this year, many destinations including Mexico, Dominican Republic and Hawaii are experiencing double digit increases in demand. 

And, according to the research, what’s the preferred activity by travelers for these destinations? 

For a whopping 97%, it’s doing nothing. 

For the rest of the year, Expedia data suggests the deadline to get better deals for Memorial Day weekend is to book by April 6th.

For the rest of the summer, you may want to book before April 17th. For Fourth of July weekend, it’s May 10th.
