The Essentials

Airlines and All You Can Fly

What if an airline sold you an all you can fly pass?

Back in 2009, JetBlue offered its “all you can jet pass”, which covered a month of unlimited flying for the same price tag.

The deal, which applied to 56 domestic and international destinations, was so popular that the company ultimately withdrew it.

Now, two airlines are out with modified versions.

Alaska Airlines is offering an annual subscription flight pass.

And Frontier has a “go wild pass” on the market — a year of flights, just $599, which covers all its domestic flights including Puerto Rico. While you can fly about 300 days a year, you can’t book a flight until one day before departure and only if seats are available. You still have to pay taxes and fees, and more if you want a better seat.

And remember, these passes only work if there are seats available at the last minute.
