Barbara writes, “This photo is from near Montefalco, Umbria, where Sagrantino wine is king. The different varieties of grapes turn yellow or fade to brown, but the Sagrantino grape leaves turn a brilliant red. Plowed fields are brown, newly sown winter cover crops are bright green, and the olive trees are always silvery green.”
