During the pandemic, many of the world’s busiest airports resembled ghost towns, but now many of the airports are back.

And in some cases, they’re busier than 2019 levels. One surprise is the top seven busiest airports in the world are right here in the U.S.

Back at number one, Atlanta’s Hartsfield airport is up 76% from 2021, followed by Dallas Fort Worth, Denver, Chicago’s O’Hare, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Orlando.

And the biggest surprise is in Las Vegas. In 2020, It was number 22. Now it’s the 10th busiest airport.
