The Essentials
Hottest U.S. Cities
As you’re planning your summer travel, it might also be helpful to know the U.S. cities that get the most sun and are literally the hottest — not just in July and August — but every month of the year.
The hottest city in the U.S. is Miami with an average monthly temperature of nearly 79 degrees.
Not surprisingly, two cities in Arizona come in second and third — Phoenix and Mesa — with an average of more than 354 hours of sun every month.
What other U.S. cities made the hot list?
That’s Corpus Christi, Texas at 74 degrees. And Orlando had an average temperature of 72 degrees but only 325 hours of sun every month.
Orlando has the same average monthly temperature as Henderson, Nevada.
And finally, Honolulu, Hawaii has an average temperature at 76 degrees.
