So how early do you get to the airport for your flight? New data from one global chauffeur service — Blacklane — says a growing number of travelers don’t follow airline and airport advice about when to arrive for your flight.

You’ve heard the advice before. Get there two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international trips.

The survey revealed that U.S. domestic travelers tend to arrive one hour and 45 minutes ahead. In the U.K., they arrive two hours and 16 minutes ahead.

On average, we’re shaving 15 minutes off domestic and 45 minutes off international advised airport arrival times, and during peak holiday travel season, that shaved time can often make the difference between making your flight and missing it.
