Tomorrow, Eye On Travel broadcasts from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Guests include Erin Florio, from Conde Nast Traveler, with the often surprising results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards of the best destinations, hotels, resorts and airlines around the world. And of course, all the breaking travel news (and there’s a lot). And at the Hall of Fame, I got to hold a very special special bat. For those of us who still play ball (I am one of them) this bat is significant: it was used by Julio Franco on April 20, 2006, when he became the oldest player in Major League Baseball history to hit a home run. He was 47. So…there’s hope! Shortstop and Legendary Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith also stops by, as well as Trevor Hoffman, one of the greatest relief pitchers of all time. There’s all this and more as Eye on Travel broadcasts from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
