Have you been streaming a lot of TV lately? Then, chances are you’re also dreaming — just a little — about where those shows were shot. Talk about the gardens, the rooms, the beaches and even the booze.
Inspired by the Netflix show, “The Queen’s Gambit”, the Harmon Room in the 21c Museum Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky, where the show is set, is decked out — not surprisingly — with a chessboard on the ceiling and chess review magazines.
For true show fans, guests can even take home a complementary Lex Liquors tote bag.
Here’s a throwback: the Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver has a “Talladega Nights” room to pay homage to the 2006 comedy starring Will Ferrell with red, white, and blue walls in addition to NASCAR trinkets galore.
If you’re looking for something a bit more quaint, book a night at the Shire of Montana on Trout Creek. This boutique hotel is modeled after “The Hobbit” houses in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and comes with two bedrooms, a full size kitchen, and an outdoor grilling area.
