The latest airline safety survey is out — Safe Travel Barometer — and it rates airlines based on 26 different parameters including safety protocols, traveler convenience and service excellence.
Twenty airlines reached a score of 4.0 or greater and are considered “perfect” — including Southwest, Delta, Korean Air, and Singapore Airlines.
Eleven airlines with a score of 1.0 to 1.9 are considered “risky” — including CommutAir, Mesa Airlines, PSA Airlines, and Amelia International.
The five airlines that the survey indicates you might want to avoid have a score below 1.0. They are Endeavor, GoJet Airlines, Horizon Air, Nesma Airlines, and Air Calédonie.
And the safest airline, with the highest score of 4.4 is Emirates.
