Good Luck Traditions Around the World
As you might be planning some overseas travel — for next year — here’s a heads up on some good luck traditions when you make your foreign trip.
Are you going to China? Remember the number eight. It’s considered to be the luckiest number because it translates to a similar word in Mandarin that means fortune.
Are you traveling to Russia? An old Russian tradition says that if you sit down before you travel, then good luck will travel with you. So take a moment.
Are you heading to Czech Republic? Place a fish scale in your wallet and keep it there for a year. It is supposed to ensure that prosperity won’t run out.
And, if you’re going to Japan, pack an origami frog in your wallet.
If you do, Japanese legend has it that whatever money you spend on your trip will come back to you.
I think we all need that origami frog!
