Silly Laws Around the World
As we begin to travel again, I want to give you a few cautions about some silly laws around the world but laws that can be enforced.
Don’t ask me why, but having more than 50 kilograms (110 lbs) of potatoes in your car at one time in Australia can call for a fine.
Wearing camouflage in Barbados is banned for everyone, except military personnel.
You can’t bring in chewing gum to Singapore, which also means it’s illegal to chew it as well.
It’s forbidden to leave your car windows down greater than the width of a hand in British Columbia parking lots, and it’s verboten to run out of gas on the highway in Germany.
It is even illegal to suspiciously hold a salmon in England, whatever that means! So please don’t threaten me with your fish! Ok, you’ve now been warned.
