Stay at a hotel that starred in the movies.

The Hotel del Coronado in San Diego was the setting in the 1959 comedy classic, “Some Like It Hot,” starring Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis.

In New York, The Plaza has been the setting in a number of films – from Alfred Hitchcock’s “North By Northwest” to “Home Alone 2” and even a scene in “Sleepless in Seattle.”

And while the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing” takes place in a fictional hotel in the Catskills, the hotel where it was actually filmed is the Mountain Lake Lodge in Pembroke, Virginia, where it still has “Dirty Dancing” themed weekends, a few times a year. Pack your dancing shoes…
