The seats are getting more narrow, the legroom is almost non-existent, but some airlines are actually adding a few perks to economy class.

United has put back snacks in the back of the bus. Delta is actually improving the economy class meal service on long-haul international flights as well as installing free seat back satellite entertainment systems — including live news television channels.

And last but not least, some airlines, like KLM, have reconfigured the overhead bins to double the carry-on capacity. You’ll still be scrunched back there, but perhaps you won’t have the bags cramping your legs. Plus, watching live TV might mitigate the pain.
