Travel Tip: Helpful Translation Tools

If you’re like most American travelers, “Donde esta el bano?”–or where is the bathroom?–may be the extent of your foreign language repertoire.

But now, there are a host of good apps for translating foreign languages, wherever you happen to be.

Many of you have heard of– or used–Google Translate, which is now handling more than 100 languages.

Then there’s Trip Lingo, which has translations in 42 languages but also helps you understand restaurant receipts overseas.

If you’re in a group conversation, check out Microsoft Translator, because it can handle multiple conversations.

Are you going to Asia? Try something called Waygo. It handles image based translation of Asian word characters.
