So you’re shopping in a bazaar in a foreign country. Maybe it’s in Istanbul. Maybe it’s in Cairo. How do you bargain? How do you know you’re getting the best deal? Here’s my advice. It’s how you use your credit cards to get a great deal without ever using a credit card. Let me explain.
You negotiate the best possible deal you can. When you’re finished, you hold up your American Express credit card.
Vendors likely won’t want that because they won’t want to pay the commission.
So then you pull out a different credit card, such as Mastercard or Visa.
The price then goes down again.
Now, the kicker: you then ask how much would the item cost if paid in cash. The price goes down again, and you can get double discounts, without ever using your credit cards.
All you have to do is show them.
