Kate McCue: America’s First Female Cruise Ship Captain
When the 91,000-ton Celebrity Summit set sail yesterday for a typical fall cruise through New England and Canada, what wasn’t typical was who was in command. Kate McCue is the first female American cruise ship captain, and she is currently at the helm of the ship, overseeing a crew of 950 and more than 2,100 passengers.
