Travel Tip: How You Can Save on Off Season Golf

Golf bagTraditionally, winter golfers head to warm-weather places like Arizona or Florida. But you can get some great deals on off season golf.

Hilton Head, South Carolina, drops its green fees and hotel rates in winter.

Until the end of December, you can get five nights and five rounds from $155 per person a night, PLUS $100 credit. You’ll stay at the Westin and choose from seven different Hilton Head courses.

Sea Pines Resort has a deal through February that gets you 15 percent off your room, free meals, and preferred rates at three golf courses—including the one on the PGA Tour.

Winter rates at the JW Marriott Las Vegas are about $104 a night, including a round at the TPC Las Vegas. That’s about half the high-season rates.

Central Oregon gets 300 days of sunshine a year, which means golfing in the winter is feasible.

The Ridge Course at Eagle Crest Resort is open all winter long, with rates from about $200 a night, including unlimited golf.
