From Firefighter to Flight Attendant: JetBlue Hires First Responders
For more than a decade, airlines have been hiring first responders to work as part of their flight crews. But one airline has been focusing on a particular group of people—New York City firefighters. JetBlue has a proud—and growing—tradition of giving flight attendant jobs to either retired or current New York City firefighters. To date, one in ten JetBlue flight attendants is either a current or retired New York City firefighter.
