Peter Greenberg Worldwide–Hôtel Vernet, Paris, France–September 13, 2014

Locations in this article:  Paris, France

Hotel Vernet2In Paris, a majority of hotels have a great and colorful history. And many are not on your radar. One is located just a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe, and worth a visit. The Hôtel Vernet, from the post Hausmann era, dates back to 1913. This week, we’re broadcasting the show from the hotel, where we’ll talk with journalist and Paris expert Natasha Edwards about the hotel’s architecture and its defining feature, a glass celling in the restaurant created by the famed Gustave Eiffel. Then we’ll discuss France’s tourism board’s efforts to encourage nicer waiters.

Then Peter sits down with Jane Adamik, Mistress of the iconic Lido, who explains the history of the Lido and how she became a Bluebell girl herself. Then, those looking for an unusual pampering experience can hear what celebrity hairstylist Nabil Harlow is doing at the hotel. All that and more when we broadcast this week from Hôtel Vernet in Paris.
