Eye on Travel
Peter Greenberg Worldwide–Cannery Row, Monterey, California–August 30, 2014
This week we’re traveling roughly 100 miles south of San Francisco to Monterey, California, and the legendary Cannery Row. It’s an area rich with history, both industrial and artistic. We’ll be broadcasting Peter Greenberg Worldwide from the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa.
We’ll be joined by Paul Michel, superintendent of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, with a report on the work they’re doing and how visitors can access this amazing and continuous display of aquatic life. Anne Banas of Smartertravel.com reports in on some surprising two-for-one-deals around the world — and Pete Koeman, Monterey fireman, tells us which meals in Monterey are so good they leave him breathless.
Then, Neil Dunn, Executive Sous Chef, The C Restaurant, will talk about the chef’s perspective on environmentally responsible menus — when it comes to seafood.
All this and more when we broadcast from the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa on Cannery Row in Monterey, California.
