Travel Tip: Where You Can Watch Winter Olympics 2014 Athletes Train

We’re coming up on Olympic season, and you can get a head start on the experience by watching winter Olympics 2014 athlete training, before the games begin.

Copper Mountain in Colorado is home to the U.S Ski Team Training Center. Between now and December 15, you can see the U.S. Team and international Olympic skiers training at this center. To see them in action, just hang out at the base of the Super Bee chairlift in Copper’s East Village. Or sit down at JJ’s Tavern where you can watch the athletes on the slopes.

At the World Arena Ice Hall in Colorado Springs, you can see Olympic figure skaters training all year long. There are sessions every afternoon where you can see the skaters on ice. Just leave the camera at home because there’s no photography allowed.

And in Park City, Utah, there’s Olympic Park, which was built for the 2002 Games. Today, you can see the U.S. teams training in bobsled, luge and ski jumping.

And at the Olympic Oval, you can watch the qualifying trials for U.S. Speedskating.
