Some of the most amazing gadget watches come from Casio, maker of GShock watches. I’ve been trying out two models, G-9300-1, and PAW5000-1.The first is a G-Shock Mudman model (G-9300-1) that’s loaded with every imaginable feature, including auto time setting, solar power, world time, stop watch, temperature, compass, and much more. The dial even lights up with a tilt of the wrist. These watches contain high-performance sensors that measure direction, altitude and atmospheric pressure/temperature.

The second gadget watch I tried out is a Pathfinder model which is a more conventional looking analog watch with a digital window inset at 6 o’clock. It’s loaded with many of the same digital functions and comes in a stainless steel case. There are just 2 problems. Figuring out which model to buy – there are so many to choose from – and learning how to use the watch with everything controlled by just four hard-to-press buttons and a user manual that needs a magnifying glass to read.
