Like a Local Spotlight: Cuba’s Tobacco Farms
The launch party for Peter and Michelin’s Like a Local guides is tonight and we want you to join us in celebrating. Follow along on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ where Peter will be sharing the top 10 local travel secrets in his first five guides.
This morning, we’re going in depth on one of the most cutting-edge guides, Cuba…Like a Local. Travel Correspondent Alyssa Caverly heads to Vinales in Western Cuba, which is one of the main hubs for tobacco farming on the island. It’s not all about cigars–many farms in the area also grow the beans that produce Cuba’s world-famous coffee.
Watch our local spotlight to see home-grown Cuban coffee and cigars.
