4. Pieces of History
Is viewing exhibits simply not enough? Well, now you can own your very own piece of Titanic history. Two auction houses in New York, Guernsey’s and Bonham’s, are auctioning off thousands of Titanic-related artifacts, many collected from the submerged wreck itself. These include personal binoculars, a hairpin, eyeglasses, a pocket watch and much, much more. One of the most coveted items featured at the Bonham’s auction, a genuine ticket to the Titanic launch complete with perforated stub, could fetch up to $70,000. Okay, so maybe you won’t buy anything, but let’s hope it doesn’t all go to some reclusive billionaire with a shipwreck fetish. Sharing is caring.
