Morocco

You might not know that Morocco is an exotic destination that is accessible and affordable. Situated on both the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, Morocco is ideal for the adventure traveler. You can choose to stay seaside and hike the famous Atlas Mountains or head more inland and explore the desert via camel safari.

Morocco is fast becoming a world-class shopping destination. Spend one day in an urban souk, a labyrinth of narrow alleys crammed with shops and stalls selling everything imaginable…carpets, textiles, leather, metalwork, spices.

In direct contrast to this old school bazaar type style of shopping, Casablanca is home to Africa’s largest shopping mall, the Morocco Mall. The fifth largest mall in the world, the Morocco Mall has a coastline view, a massive aquarium and huge gardens, not to mention shopping galore.

You don’t have to travel with a tour group to get the best out of Morocco. Just fly in and create your own experiences. You can fly nonstop from New York to Casablanca on Royal Air Maroc (about $870 in January/February; continue to Marrakesh for about $1,000). You can also take the ferry from Spain, Italy and France.
