The era of the mega-carrier has officially begun with the merger of United Airlines and Continental Airlines. The two carriers agreed to join on Sunday to create the biggest airline in the world.
The merger is on the heels of the union between Delta and Northwest in 2008, and many suspect other airlines such as American Airlines might be forced to pair up in the future.
But does bigger always mean better?
