If you think traveling is uncomfortable for you, what if you’re tall? We’re talking your knees really up against your chest, your feet hanging over the bed, and ducking under door frames. So what’s a tall person to do?

Emergency exits and bulkhead rows usually have more space on planes, but not always. So check the cabin layout in advance on SeatGuru.com.

In economy, United’s Boeing 757 and the Airbus 320 come out on top, with a pitch of 36 inches.

Spirit Airlines is the worst of the bunch: their pitch, only 28 inches.

But once you arrive, there’s some good news.

A growing number of hotels are offering something called “tall rooms.” Kimpton hotels and the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas have rooms that feature 96-inch beds.

The W Hotel in Dallas has 95-inch beds.

But if you’re tall, it can really pay to let your hotel know with a call before you arrive.

Some hotels may not publicize their features for tall guests as much as Kimpton or the Palms, but they may still have them.

So whether you’re in the NBA or not, there could be a hotel for you.
