Pedicab Cities

Locations in this article:  Denver, CO Los Angeles, CA San Diego, CA

If you’re tired of high gas prices or you prefer to travel green, you may want to consider touring a city by pedicab. But, remember, there are safety issues at hand.

Bicycle-powered pedicabs are a common sight in Asia, but now they’re appearing in cities around the U.S.

In parts of New York, you can hail a pedicab just like a taxi, with prices starting around $15 an hour.

In Southern California, San Diego pedicabs can take you on a downtown sightseeing tour for about $30.

Ontario Airport near Los Angeles employs pedicabs to transport passengers between the terminal and parking lots.

And, in Denver, don’t be surprised to see three-wheeled carts transporting locals between bars and sporting events.

But before you climb on board, ask what kind of liability insurance they provide, especially with smaller, independent operators.

And, avoid traveling by pedicab during major events and rush hour traffic when the likelihood of an accident is higher.
