Some people never want to grow up, especially when it comes to our childhood sports heroes.
So how can you combine hero worship with travel? It’s easy.
Several major sports teams host their own fantasy experiences, where fans can travel to a camp and play with the legends.
We’re talking everything from hockey with Wayne Gretzky to tennis with Chris Evert to basketball with Michael Jordan.
Heck, you can even learn ice skating with Dorothy Hamill!
Of course, these experiences don’t come cheap, some as much as $10,000.
But that usually includes accommodations and meals, hanging out with the legends, and on-the-field game time.
The same goes for fantasy camps with former Major League baseball players and even PGA greats.
How about learning tips from Olympic athletes? In Lake Placid, New York and Park City, Utah, these former Olympic sites host several fantasy camps.
For about $2,000, you can spend three days training for bobsled or luge, under the guidance of Olympic athletes and coaches.
But at those prices, you’d better be enthusiastic about learning.
If not, you’re probably better off in the spectator stands, and reminiscing with your collectors cards.
