American Airlines Crashes Southwest’s 40th Birthday Party

Grab it while it lasts. Southwest Airlines is offering one-way tickets from $40, $80 or $120, depending on the distance of travel. Tickets must be purchased 11:59 p.m. PST for travel between August 23 and November 16, 2011.

Meanwhile, American Airlines has announced its own fall deal from $40 each way, with the same travel dates, that also expires today.

All Rooms (Including Suites) from $199 at Club Med Ixtapa Pacific

Book by June 27 and the all-inclusive Club Med Ixtapa Pacific is offering all room categories from $199 a night. This rate is available for stays through June 27 and from August 27 through December 16, 2011, and is based on availability. Club Med membership fees are an additional $60 per adult and $30 per child.

Located between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific Ocean, about 160 miles north of Acapulco, this resort features hacienda-style accommodations. Rates include accommodations, all meals, kids’ clubs, watersports and outdoor activities, and airport transfers.

Kids Raft Free with Dvorak Expeditions this Summer

Head to Utah’s Green River for a family adventure with Dvorak Expeditions rafting tours. A six-day, five-night trip starts from $1,051 per person, with kids ages 5-12 rafting for free (representing a savings of $946 per child). The price includes guided tours, all gear and equipment, meals, and ground transportation.
