Peter Greenberg Worldwide–The Marker Hotel, Dublin, Ireland–October 11, 2014

Locations in this article:  Dublin, Ireland

markerThis week, the Peter Greenberg Worldwide Radio Shows is broadcasting from Ireland and the new and cutting edge Marker Hotel in Dublin’s historic Docklands. It’s an area rich with Irish history—and the canals are still there (but the coal merchants are long gone).

The Marker’s location is significant because of other history — the street where the Marker is located was once called Misery Hill — the place where hanged men and women were strung up as a warning to other, would-be criminals. Nothing miserable about the docklands these days.

We’ll be joined by those responsible for the docklands’ transformation, along with Kevin McGillycuddy, who tells me the best way to spend Thanksgiving, Chris Hill of Orpens Cider explains what a country does when they can’t grow grapes…(hint…it’s all about apples). And musician Anthony “Booster” Bools performs a 150 year old song for me—listen carefully to the lyrics –can you tell what the soldier and the maid are doing. All this and more, when I broadcast from The Marker Hotel Dublin.
