We’re all familiar with, and most of us have experienced, airline delays.
But what about airport delays — the time it takes to get from the ticket counter through security checkpoints to your gate?
So which airports have the longest TSA wait times? If you’re flying from Hawaii or Chicago, you can expect the longest average wait times at the checkpoints: more than 20 minutes at Honolulu Airport and over 19 minutes at O’Hare in Chicago.
Chicago’s Midway Airport isn’t much better, with wait times exceeding 18 minutes.
Other airports with long wait times include Tampa, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Orlando.
And which airports don’t make you wait as long? Three big winners: Baltimore, Detroit, and Phoenix, each with wait times under eight minutes.
