Photo of the Week — June 11, 2024

Congratulations to this week’s winner, Sandy Collins!

Sandy writes, “We were in Egypt recently for three weeks and Queen Nefertari’s tomb in Valley of the Queens was beyond stunning. Nefertari was the favorite consort of Ramses II. The magnificent paintings on the tomb walls are some of the most detailed and well preserved in ancient Egypt. We were only supposed to be in the tomb for 15 minutes. However, we kept giving the tomb keepers “bakshish” and we stayed in the tomb for 45 minutes, while they gladly guided us through the tomb and explained the meaning of the images and hieroglyphics!”
