The Essentials
Cleanest Airports in the World
When we think of airports, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? That’s usually delays and cancellations.
But what about cleanliness?
We’re talking about the terminal areas, the gate seating, the food outlets, and the restrooms.
The world’s cleanest airport is Haneda in Tokyo. In fact, the 10 cleanest airports in the world are all in Asia, with Japan having four of them.
That includes Singapore’s Changi, Incheon in South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
In Europe, Zurich scored well, and in Qatar, Hamad International was also a winner.
In North America, Vancouver scored high marks, but no airport in the US approached the top for cleanest airports.
