Criteria includes crashes in the last five years, serious incidents in the past two years, fleet age, COVID protocols, and pilot training analysis.
The safest airline for 2023 is Qantas followed by Air New Zealand, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines that round out the top five.
The sixth safest airline for 2023 is TAP Air Portugal.
So where do Hawaiian Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines end up on the list? They didn’t even make the top 20.
