So which are the best airlines in the world? Aviation safety and product rating agency AirlineRatings.com has issued its annual list for best airlines.

Criteria include age of fleet, on-time performance product reviews, and product offerings like airline food plus the new category of “COVID-19 response.”

At number one, Qatar Airways has beat its previously unchallenged competitor Air New Zealand, who landed second place this year.

Following behind in third place is Singapore Airlines, with Qantas at fourth place and Emirates in fifth.

The top rated U.S. based airline is United Airlines, which stands at 8th place internationally.
