During the pandemic, and especially now as we begin to emerge from it, more and more Americans took to their bikes.

But where’s the best place to bike in America?

One recent survey ranked the 200 biggest U.S. cities on 18 key indicators — ranging from the length of bike lanes, the share of workers who bike to work, and access to bike stores and repair shops. Also factors were air quality, weather, and availability of biking clubs in each city.

Which city got the top scores?

The top five includes Minneapolis, Minnesota,  Eugene, Oregon and Fort Collins, Colorado.

Portland, Oregon ranked the second best and San Francisco, California came in at number one.

The worst U.S. cities for biking went to Newport News, Virginia, Jackson, Mississippi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
