The Essentials

Which City is the Cheesiest?

One of the by-products of the pandemic is a change in our lifestyle.

We’re traveling less and eating more. And the latest report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture reveals that we’re eating a lot more cheese.

Some U.S. cities that are gorging on cheese might not be a surprise. Madison, Wisconsin is America’s dairyland, and it came in as number two.

California cities Pomona (number 10), Pasadena (number 3), and Torrance (number 7) made the top 10.

Chicago (number 4), Atlanta (number 5), Arlington (number 6) and Dayton (number 8) were all ranked high too.

And Philadelphia clocked in at number nine — can anyone say cheesesteaks?

Who came in last? That’s Port Saint Lucie in Florida, Enterprise, Nevada and Laredo, Texas.

So what was the number one cheesy city?

The winner is San Francisco.
