Then, get your onboard technology in order. Bring a phone charger that plugs into your car and a portable power brick. And for your navigation, there’s a function in Google Maps which allows you to download your map ahead of time to prevent you from getting lost in a dead zone with no reception.

And third, pack smartly. Use a roof cargo box or rack only if you have to, and know that it’s better to bring two smaller coolers than one big one. One should keep shut to hold perishables like meat and cheese and the other one could be used for snacks and drinks that you can open more frequently.
