Advances in Train Travel
It’s time once again to celebrate the advances in train travel.
So take note while you’re planning future travel overseas.
In England, the great Western Railway has ramped up its schedules, as well as its speed. And the trains are much faster between London and the Cotswolds.
The Eurail pass — which you buy in the United States in conjunction with your flight from the United States — now includes many more train possibilities.
In Austria, there’s the nightjet service — an overnight train that connects Brussels and Vienna.
And Eurostar has a great service between London and Amsterdam.
In real time, it actually beats the flight, when you factor in the madness of the airport and waiting times.
