Virtual Tours of Museums During the Coronavirus Pandemic
The coronavirus has you staying at home, but you can still travel — virtually.
Social distancing doesn’t necessarily mean being cut off from culture. A growing number of museums are letting you take virtual tours of the exhibits.
This ranges from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and the Tate Modern in London.
And the list of museums and galleries all around the world that are allowing you to take these tours keeps growing.
In fact, Google Arts and Culture has a list of more than 500 museums that you can now visit virtually. So between binge watching your favorites on Netflix, throw in a tour — or three — of either your favorite museums or some you’ve never seen.
